Cosinuss° in-ear vital signs sensor technology empowers remote patient monitoring systems with continuous streams of relevant vital signs data provided by one wearable device with high accuracy. Data from the in-ear sensor is received by a mobile gateway device that also serves as a long-range transmitter with standardized interfaces for seamless integration into existing systems. As a unique functionality, the cosinuss° technology additionally provides respective quality scores to each data point indicating the reliability of each measurement. With this, cosinuss° makes in-person monitoring truly remote and enables existing remote patient monitoring systems with the quality and reliable data that is needed for medical use. 

The objectives in this project are to integrate the existing respiration rate algorithm into the in-ear sensor, to medically certify the in-ear sensor and algorithms as well as the redesign of the gateway device.
